Privacy Policy
Effective 1 November 2026
In short: Clipfold has no account, no ads, no analytics and no servers. Your images, tags and the text read from them stay on your device. The only data that leaves it is what Apple and RevenueCat need to process and check your subscription.
This policy explains how the Clipfold app for iPhone and iPad (“Clipfold”, “we”, “us”) handles information. Clipfold is developed by Anuj Kamboj.
What stays on your device
- Your images. When you import screenshots or photos, Clipfold copies them into a vault inside the app on your device. We never receive them.
- Text and tags. Clipfold reads the text in your images and suggests tags using Apple's on-device Vision framework. The results are stored only on your device.
- Folders, Smart Folders, notes, reminders, Memory Books and settings. Stored only on your device.
- Summaries. On iOS 26 devices with Apple Intelligence, summaries are written by Apple's on-device model. The text never leaves your device.
- Search. Searches run on your device and are not recorded or sent anywhere.
Permissions Clipfold asks for
- Photos. Used to find and copy your screenshots and the photos you choose into the vault. You can give full or limited access, and change it any time in iOS Settings. If you turn on “Offer to Delete Originals”, Clipfold asks iOS to delete the originals you choose, and iOS asks you to confirm first.
- Notifications. Used only for reminders you set on a clip. Notifications are scheduled on your device and never show what's in the clip.
- Face ID or Touch ID. Used to unlock your locked folders. The check is done by iOS. Clipfold only learns whether it succeeded and never has access to your biometric data.
Information shared with others
Clipfold Pro is sold through Apple's App Store. To process and verify subscriptions we use:
- Apple (StoreKit). Apple handles payment. We never see your payment details. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
- RevenueCat. RevenueCat checks which subscription is active. It receives a random app user ID created by Clipfold, your purchase history for Clipfold, and basic technical details such as the app version and device type. This ID is not linked to your name, email or Apple Account. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
If you use iCloud Photos, iOS may download full-size originals from iCloud when Clipfold imports them. That download happens between your device and Apple.
We do not sell your information, use it for advertising, or track you across other apps and websites.

Backups
By default your vault is included in your device's iCloud or computer backup, which Apple encrypts. You can exclude it in Clipfold › Settings › Storage. If you do, the vault can't be restored from a backup.
Sharing you choose
When you share, drag out or export a clip or a Memory Book, Clipfold hands a copy to the app or person you pick. What happens next is governed by that app's privacy policy.
Keeping and deleting your data
Everything Clipfold stores lives on your device until you delete it. Deleting a clip removes Clipfold's copy, and deleting the app removes the whole vault. To ask RevenueCat to delete purchase records tied to your app user ID, contact us at the address below.
Children
Clipfold is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
Changes to this policy
If we change how Clipfold handles information, we'll update this page and the effective date above. Significant changes will also be mentioned in the app's release notes.
